Pefki

Pefki is a mountain village located approximately 33 km from Kalambaka. According to the 2011 census, its permanent population amounted to 145 inhabitants, and it is situated at an altitude of roughly 840 meters.

It is celebrated on July 17, the day of Agia Marina, on May 9, the day of Agios Christophers, and on the fifteenth of August.

 

Worth visiting:

The church of Agios Nikolaos where is located in the center of the village,

The Folklore Museum of Pefki.

Trygona

Trygona is a mountain village located approximately 29 km from the city of Kalambaka. According to the 2011 census, its permanent population amounted to 126 inhabitants, and it is situated at an altitude of roughly 750 meters. One km from the village is Analipsi, which was also the old location of Trygona, and based on the 2011 census; it had nine inhabitants.

Celebrates the fifteenth of August.

 

Worth visiting:

Koardesa and Futuna – Marie, the fountain of the same name and the two springs,

Kratsovo and Prophet Ilias.

Panagia

Panagia is a mountain village located approximately 41 km from Kalambaka. Based on the 2011 census, its permanent population amounted to 329 inhabitants, and it is situated at an altitude of roughly 800 meters.

It is celebrated on August 8, of the Holy Spirit, and on the fifteenth of August.

 

Worth visiting:

The two old churches, the Nativity of the Virgin and the Saviour, date back to the beginning of the 18th century.

Korydallos

Korydallos is a mountain village located approximately 36 km from the town of Kalambaka. Based on the 2011 census, its permanent population amounted to 250 inhabitants, and it is situated at an altitude of approximately 740 meters.

Celebrates the fifteenth of August.

 

Worth visiting:

The Church of the Dormition of the Virgin, while admiring the fantastic view.

Malakasi

Malakasi is a mountain village located approximately 48 km from Kalambaka. According to the 2011 census, its permanent population amounted to 138 inhabitants, and it is situated at an altitude of roughly 800 meters.

It celebrates the memory of Saints Peter and Paul on June 29 and August 15.

 

Worth visiting:

The chapel of Prodromos,

The old churches of Agios Nikolaos, the Holy Apostles, the Dormition, the Forerunner and the prophet Elias,

Despot's Field.
